Star Trek Minimates - Mr. Spock

Here we have a Minimate version of the famously pointy-eared (half) Vulcan, Mr. Spock, who is the Echief science officer aboard the starhip Enterprise.

Packaging

Two different types of packaging were used in the Star Trek Minimates line. Some figures were carded, and some came in the round plastic tube packaging. Spock here is on a card.

Mr. Spock

Spock is from the planet Vulcan who have repressed their emotions for centuries and therefore his expression is quite neutral. The eyebrows are nicely done. The hairpiece has the authentic pointed ears. Using simple, clean detailing lines AA have done a good job here in capturing a very iconic face.

Like Dr. McCoy, Spock wears the blue Starfleet tunic with the Starfleet insignia on the right breast. This tunic also has the same flaws as McCoy's, with the general lack of vibrancy in the colour as well as that black spot on the top left of the chest piece again. So maybe it's meant to be there, I don't know.

Spock comes with two accessories; as well as the same satchel that McCoy had, he also gets a unique accessory - another hand. This one is posed in the famous V-shape for making overly dramatic salutes. It's a nice accessory but again I would still have liked a tricorder or even a phaser for when the away missions get out of hand.

Overall, this figure is a nice representation of Spock, but it is still one that works best with the rest of the Enterprise bridge crew as he's not really a solo figure in the same way Kirk is.
